He has served renowned Raiganj University College( Now Raiganj University) as Professor of Botany(1981-2017) and as Principal(2007-2015). During his service life he was interested in photomicrography and could not engage himself in serious DSLR photography but now he is a devoted photo artist and likes to shoot nature, candid and wildlife . In the year 2017 he has been awarded with AFIAP and AFIP and the next year he was awarded with EFIAP and EFIP. He has built up a small herbarium of plants which are available at Raiganj Wildlife Santuary. He is associated with many welfare NGOs. This(2019) year he has visited Tanzania for wildlife photography.
